A survey of the world’s most expensive silk fabrics by Indian designer and luxury brand H.R. & Mather’s has revealed.
The survey, published in the International Journal of Fashion Design, found the silk fabric from China is by far the most pricey in terms of cost per unit.
The survey found that the top 10 silk fabrics were silk, satin, cotton, silk, cotton and satin.
“Silk is not a luxury fabric, it is an everyday, everyday item,” said Amit Kapoor, co-founder of H. R. &s; M. “Our goal is to create the most exquisite silk fabrics for everyday use.
For instance, we are now developing a line of silk dresses for women who do not want to look too chic.”
The survey also revealed that while silk fabrics can be very pricey, silk fabric has a special place in Indian culture.
For the first time in the survey, the top silk fabrics in India are from the West, which is why they are also on the list of the most coveted silk fabrics.
